Fort Delaware begins 2024 season

NARROWSBURG – Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History will re-open for the 2024 season on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25, Sunday, May 26, and Monday, May 27.

The Fort, located on the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway at 6615 Route 97 in Narrowsburg, is owned by Sullivan County and operated by the Barryville-based non-profit history education group, The Delaware Company. Following the Memorial Day weekend, the Fort will be open on Saturdays and Sundays through June 30, Thursday through Sunday from July 4 until September 1, Labor Day, September 2, and then weekends through October 13. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m.

The Fort will once again be featuring special programs on most weekends, sponsored by Bold Gold Media, which operates radio stations in the Catskills, the northern Poconos, and the Scranton-Wilkes Barre area, and will offer a number of “Fort Delaware After Dark” events. A full schedule of special events will be announced in the near future.
